Top 5 Things to Do Near Downtown Omaha
Explore the Old Market – Walk Omaha’s historic entertainment district featuring cobblestone streets, locally owned restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, and coffee spots. It’s an easy place to explore for an hour or spend the entire evening. The Old Market
Walk The RiverFront – Check out the newly redeveloped downtown RiverFront, including Gene Leahy Mall at The RiverFront and Heartland of America Park at The RiverFront. The connected parks offer walking paths, public art, green space, river views, and plenty of places to relax just steps from the Old Market.
Walk Across the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge – Take a walk across the Missouri River and stand in Nebraska and Iowa at the same time. Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge. connects directly with Omaha’s RiverFront and makes for an easy afternoon or evening walk with great views of downtown.
Visit The Durham Museum – Housed in Omaha’s beautifully restored Art Deco Union Station, The Durham Museum highlights Omaha and regional history with an especially strong connection to the railroad industry. For ACACSO attendees, this is probably the most fitting Omaha attraction and is located immediately south of the Old Market.
